THE HILL TODAY:

Currently, the famed Capitoline Museum dedicated to one of the seven hills of Rome is in possession of many ancient treasures.  One of the most notable, foudn in the Palazzo dei Conservatori, is the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelis dating way back to the 2nd. century AD.

In present day, many are unaware of the affiliation this Roman Hill has with the United States.  The United States Congress located in Washington D.C. was named Capitol Hill after the Roman Location of the Capitoline hill.
